Night of the Patriots will be held on November 11.  A chili dinner will be provided from 5:00-6:45p.m. with the show to follow at 7:00 p.m.

This November, Jefferson County Schools will unite in honoring America’s veterans through a series of heartfelt programs and performances across the district. This year’s theme highlights the recent wars America has been a part of, paying tribute to the courage, service, and sacrifices of our military members and their families.

The celebration will feature the incredible talents of students and staff, with performances from the band, chorus, JROTC, dance team, and cheer squad. The district will also partner with Quilts of Valor to recognize local veterans and honor recipients, while students participating in the VFW’s Voice of Democracy academic scholarship program will be recognized for their work.

The signature event of the district’s Veterans Day observances will be the 33rd Annual “Night of the Patriots,” held at Jefferson County High School on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Two performances are scheduled: a parent performance at 9:00 a.m. and an evening performance for veterans and their guests at 7:00 p.m.

Prior to the evening program, Jefferson County High School will host the Veterans Chili Dinner beginning promptly at 5:00 p.m. with the Posting of the Colors by the JROTC Color Guard. A complimentary meal of chili with all the fixings, hot dogs, desserts, and beverages will be served to veterans and their guests.

Veterans are encouraged to make reservations for the dinner and evening performance through the Jefferson County Schools website or by calling 865-397-2460. Reserved seating will be held until 6:45 p.m., after which doors will open to the general public. For those unable to attend, the event will also be livestreamed on the county website.

“This event is one of the most meaningful traditions we have,” said Mrs. Cyndi McClancy, event coordinator. “It’s a time for our students to express their gratitude, learn about sacrifice, and celebrate the freedoms we all share because of our veterans.”
