Jefferson County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Churchwell as assistant principal of White Pine School for the 2026–2027 school year.

Jefferson County Schools is pleased to announce Jessica Churchwell as the new Assistant Principal of White Pine School for the 2026–2027 school year.

Ms. Churchwell brings 15 years of dedicated experience in Jefferson County Schools, all spent at White Pine School as a first-grade teacher. A former White Pine School student herself, she has a deep-rooted connection to the school community and a passion for supporting students, families, and staff.

Throughout her career, she has been active in school improvement initiatives, serving on school leadership teams, curriculum committees, data teams, and student support efforts. She has also mentored new teachers and worked collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen instruction and promote student success. Ms. Churchwell holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from East Tennessee State University, along with an Instructional Leadership certification.

Known for her collaborative and student-centered approach, Ms. Churchwell prioritizes building strong relationships, supporting teachers, fostering a positive school culture, and ensuring students are challenged academically while feeling supported socially and emotionally. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and thriving learning environment for all at White Pine School.
