The Jefferson County High School Band brought the school community together for a memorable concert at the close of the school year, showcasing the talent, dedication, and hard work of its student musicians under the direction of Nick Tirpak and Emiley Wilson. The evening was filled with strong performances and a celebration of a successful year for the band program. From start to finish, the concert highlighted the growth and commitment of the students, as well as the leadership of their directors.

One of the most meaningful moments of the night came as the JCHS Band honored retiring Assistant Principal Dr. John Cagle. A longtime supporter of the band program, Dr. Cagle has been a familiar and encouraging presence at performances and events throughout the years. In a special tribute, Dr. Cagle stepped onto the podium to lead the band in the school’s fight song one final time. The performance was both heartfelt and symbolic, reflecting his lasting connection to the program and its students. Following the performance, Dr. Cagle was presented with flowers and a card signed by all of the band students—a small token of appreciation for his unwavering support and encouragement. The moment served as a fitting sendoff and a reminder of the strong relationships built within the JCHS community.
